Early Intervention
Melissa Strick is an enrolled provider and evaluator with the
Illinois Early Intervention System which serves eligible children birth
to three and their families. The purpose of Early Intervention is to
assist children with diagnosed disabilities, developmental delays or who
are at a high risk for delays. Children and their families can receive
the support, services and resources to help in the child’s development.
Focused on working with the family within their “natural environment,”
or their home, Melissa can provide the social and emotional support when
deemed appropriate. All Early Intervention inquires are made to your
local Child and Family Connections (CFC) office. It is the CFC who can
start the process for your child. Once evaluated and accepted into Early
Intervention, you can request a Social-Emotional evaluation if you have
concerns about your toddler’s behavior or if you as the parent are
feeling overwhelmed with the responsibilities that come with the needs
of your child. You may request a specific provider for on-going
services. Melissa provides Social-Emotional services for South Suburban
Cook, Will and Kankakee counties. If you or a parent you know has some
concerns about their infant or toddler and would like further
